La Fortuna Waterfall Hike

The tour starts with the pickup at the hotel. Right after the entrance we can enjoy the first view point and you will be amazed by the beauty of the waterfall and its surrounding lush rainforests. We then start our descent along a downhill trail with more than 480 steps. 
Along the way, we have some rest areas and will learn more about the native flora and fauna from our guide. With a little luck we also meet some rainforest inhabitants such as sloths, toucans, and butterflies.

We descend the stairs and hear the roaring of the water more and more. Once we reach the base of the waterfall, we are greeted by the majestic sight of the La Fortuna Waterfall. The waterfall stands at an impressive height of 230 feet, and the crystal-clear water falls into a pool below, creating a mesmerizing mist that surrounds the area.

If you want, you can swim in the refreshing water. For this we have a small river or, if the current is not too strong, the pool of the waterfall itself. After enjoying the scenic beauty of the La Fortuna waterfall and fortifying ourselves with a small fruit snack, we start the ascent. Our comfortable minibus is already waiting to take us back to our hotel, happy and exhausted.

• - Transportation from most hotels is included in the price. If your hotel is far from downtown La Fortuna or the road to the Arenal Volcano, additional pick-up costs may apply. Please inquire at the time of booking.
• - The departure times are approximate and we will send you the exact pickup time.

• - Cancellations or changes to the booking are possible until 24 hours before departure. After that, the full booking price will be charged in any case.
• - If a participant does not appear at the agreed time at the agreed place, we can wait a maximum of 5 minutes. In case of non-appearance, the full booking price will be charged.
