Costa Rica Kayak Tour

Gliding silently through the mangroves

There is hardly a more considerate and at the same time more relaxed way to explore Costa Rica’s nature than kayaking. Driven only by your own muscle power you glide almost silently over the water. Whether paddling through the rainforest of Tortuguero, through the mangrove forests of the South Pacific coast or in the open sea along the coast of Guanacaste, kayaking gives you an intense experience of nature.

While the engine noise of other boats tends to scare the animals, kayaking gives you the opportunity to approach monkeys, reptiles and birds quietly so you have a better chance at catching a glimpse at close range. In Costa Rica kayak tours are offered in rivers as well as in coastal towns in almost all parts of the country. Especially popular paddling tours can be found on the Caribbean coast next to Tortuguero also in the National Park Cahuita where you can combine your kayaking tour with a hiking or snorkeling tour. Kayaking on Lake Arenal is also highly recommended, as it offers spectacular views of the Arenal Volcano in good weather. We are happy to recommend places and providers for kayak tours in Costa Rica that you can book with us.
