Safari Float at Peñas Blancas River

Enjoy a relaxing half-day trip on the calm waters of the Peñas Blancas River. The river is only about 20 minutes from La Fortuna. 

Of course, safety is a top priority for us. Before the tour starts, you will get a detailed instruction in paddling and be provided with the necessary equipment. In safe and stable inflatable boats we will then drift, follow the paddling instructions of our guide and keep an eye out for rainforest inhabitants such as toucans, sloths, monkeys, but also small caimans and turtles.

The bilingual guides who accompany this tour have a high knowledge of the local flora and fauna and will tell you about the ecosystem of the tropical rainforest. The river flows calmly, so we can relax and observe the nature and wildlife from the water and take as many pictures as we want (please bring waterproof bags).

After this beautiful river safari we will entice our palate with a traditional snack and some beverages on a small ranch. Then we will have an introduction into the secrets of the cocoa bean and chocolate production. Tasting is obviously included! With a happy heart, tons of pictures and maybe new friendships we are then ready to start our journey back to La Fortuna.

No experience is necessary for this adventure. Our qualified guides will give you all the basic instructions to enjoy the activity to the fullest.

• - Transportation from most hotels is included in the price. If your hotel is far from downtown La Fortuna or the road to the Arenal Volcano, additional pick-up costs may apply. Please inquire at the time of booking.
• - The departure times are approximate and we will send you the exact pickup time.

Policies:

• - Cancellations or changes to the booking are possible until 24 hours before departure. After that, the full booking price will be charged in any case.
• - If a participant does not appear at the agreed time at the agreed place, we can wait a maximum of 5 minutes. In case of non-appearance, the full booking price will be charged.
