Sloth Watching Tour Day or Night

On this tour you will encounter one of the world's most fascinating creatures - the sloth!

We will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the "Sloth Territory", a small ecological family run project close to La Fortuna, where on a 1 mile walk you can observe two-toed sloths and three-toed sloths in their natural habitat and learn about their behaviors, habitats, and ecological significance.

Why are sloths so important?

Sloths are fascinating creatures that play an important role in maintaining the ecological balance of their habitat. They are one of the slowest mammals on the planet and spend most of their lives in trees, sleeping up to 20 hours a day. Sloths are an essential component of the rainforest ecosystem, as they disperse seeds, provide a source of food for predators, and regulate the growth of plant life. In addition, they are extremely cute!

• - Child rate ($32) is for children 5-11 years old, children 0-4 years old are allowed free of charge, child seats are available free of charge (subject to availability).
• - Children must be accompanied by an adult.
• - The tour is bilingual in English and Spanish
• - Transportation from most hotels is included in the price. If your hotel is far from downtown La Fortuna or the road to the Arenal Volcano, additional pick-up costs may apply. Please inquire at the time of booking.
• - The departure times are approximate and we will send you the exact pickup time.

Policies:

• - Cancellations or changes to the booking are possible until 24 hours before departure. After that, the full booking price will be charged in any case.
• - If a participant does not appear at the agreed time at the agreed place, we can wait a maximum of 5 minutes. In case of non-appearance, the full booking price will be charged.
